Xeaf Suspension ---------- (Technical: Double Watt's Linkage Suspension)
(What Watt's Linkage is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watt%27s_linkage)
This is an example of a new suspension that I came up with on my own using a Ford Explorer (realistic specs and everything). It is suprisingly realistic for how odd it is. But anyway, here are some advantages and Disadvatages:
----------Advantages
-Low weight
-Medium complexity (only 6 pieces)
-Built-in limiting function
-Very strong
-Completely modular, only attachments to the car body are the springs and 4 hinges
-Can survive tremendous torque amounts and vehicle weights.
----------Disadvantages
-Hard to construct "geometrically accurately".
-Suspension rides low to the ground, so whatever the vehicle drives on needs to have some collision channels disabled.
-Hard to see what is actually happening inside the linkages.
Well, anyway, hope you like it
