Thanks! But this kind of engine is not very useful, the ratio between the weight and power output of the fuel is just so huge so it doesn't accelerate much. Also it have big trouble to climb a hill since the engine itself runs on gravity!!:P But its very cool to look!:)

did u try to make a mechanism that elevates the weights back again? i know it wouldn't happen in real life, but it might work in phun

I don't get it. I looked at it in slow mo for like 5 minutes and I couldn't figure out what was moving the train. I removed every ball and it still moved.

Hey, in fact, the ball are supplying the power to make accelerate the train as they drop on the pistons. This is NOT perpetual. It seems infinite because there is barely no friction at all. so it keeps moving.

Very clever. Great idea if you ask me.

and to the antotabo that commented, it's potential energy, not perpetual motion. You add the energy to drive the train to the balls when you put them above the pistons.
