why must I use a and d to zoom when I already have a scroll wheel?

Because I can't run algodoo at school (da*ned novell) so I needed a way to zoom smoothly and to the centre of the screen.
mouse wheel zooms to cursor and to the non-phuners of my class smooth zoom looks much better:x
