Hi!

Recently, a user named blade20 uploaded a scene titled "I4 Spring Engine with More Details!", which is what it said on the tin -- a fully functional inline 4 spring engine.

I'm quite an engine lover myself, and I have been asked to try building a car around this engine now, so that's what this scene is for.:D
(QUOTE)
@Little - by the way i updated the look of the engine
you should add it in a car i think

The engine was originally built to function at 1200hz and made a lot of power -- but unfortunately my computer cannot handle a car at these frequencies so I had to change the frequency to 240hz.

This significantly reduced the engine's power output and redline unfortunately (this is not the engine's fault) -- so I have made some adjustments to tuning (spring constant, density, and inertia) to make the engine more powerful for 240hz.:D

Aside from that it's aesthetically unchanged.

The engine should start on its own, but if it stalls, simply press 1 to crank the starter motor and get it running again.

The engine is quite large and doesn't rev very high (it seems to rev to 1200 RPM under 240hz with my modifications, but at 1200hz it revs to 2000 stock) but it has pretty good torque, given the realism factor and weight!
My favorite thing about the engine however is the amount of detail! Blade20 put a lot of effort into this engine and it shows.:D

This car has a top speed of about 105 MPH which isn't bad at all!

Control it with A and D to accelerate forward/backward, and S to brake!

Overall I think this was a fun little challenge.:D

TAKEDOWN REQUESTS
If you (Blade20) would like me to unshare this scene at any point, feel free to ask.:D

no fn way
thank you little
im literally vibrating
omfg
alr my vibrating has stopped a lil bit
im doing autism stuff rn
yea idk why
but scene 10/10
ma god i was born in 2017 wth
realized that the 2017 - YYYY thing had my birth date on it
i would dislike if someone wanted to takedown the scene
overall it has pretty good torque
im gonna make more wierd engines soon
were 8 years old and this i4 has good torque
literally smartypants
btw i always run my engines at 1200 hz so they dont blow up
thats just for testing tho
if you want to add more engines of mine into your own vehicles
and your computer just cant handle the hertz
be free to chenge the hertz and tweak with my engines
so they can run vehciles
the stock starter is still there
thank you for making it remain
sometimes my engines have too much power
also sometimes they have no power at all
so the engine balanced it out
textured things + untextured things =
ultimate balance
I'm glad my scene seems to have made you happy!
I love doing things like this!

QUOTE: "were 8 years old"

I'm amazed! When I was your age, my scenes were about spongified eggs and weird masses of random shapes.

From the scene I could have guessed you were easily double that age.

You have a lot of talent and potential.
