Hello, and happy new year!

Since posting my last scene, I have been researching transmissions more.
In the process, I found out a lot of car manufacturers aren't even bothering with regular automatics anymore!

So, this car didn't either. Instead, I made a scripted CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) and put it into this buggy!:D
It has the exact same engine as my Bug Buggy, but it's significantly faster and has significantly more torque at low speeds.

Now this bug-powered dune buggy could, maybe...go on the highway? Probably not, but at least without air resistance, I got it to highway speeds!
Maybe if you're tailgating someone really close so that there's less air resistance! (please don't do that xD)

The scripted CVT is also designed to work as an automatic transmission, but I'm still working on polishing that up.

I think this year I want to make a lot more Thyme-related scenes similar to when I first started discovering myself (around 2023).
Last year, I mostly just uploaded cars without anything interesting about them. For the cars I upload this year, I want them to be less plentiful and more unique in terms of scripting similar to this CVT buggy.

One thing I might try to do is build my own dyno similar to The Linkage's!
I think it would be an interesting challenge.

A builder for single-geometry menus would be interesting too. :lol:
I would need quite a bit of know-how on how Algodoo handles text in order to pull that off though, of course. 2.2.0 did add a lot of new text features though, so who knows! :lol:
