I was messing around with my manual gearbox car and replaced the Inline 3 it contains with a disk and attached negative damping springs to it.

I never anticipated to make this a real thing or anything, so I just kept throwing more power at it and more inertia at the flywheel and eventually I came up with this monstrocity.


The engine looks like some sort of barnacle or something and it has springs surrounding it that look like some sort of weird tentacles (hence the name, squid engine)

The engine will start on its own and revs up to about 300 rad/s.
Pressing A or D while the engine is still starting will undoubtedly cause it to stall and it's really painful to get started again.


Controls:

1 - Toggle 1st gear
2 - Toggle 2nd gear
3 - Toggle 3rd gear
D - Clutch pedal
A - Reverse pedal (draws directly from the engine's output but has limited torque as to not stall the engine)

By default, the car is in 1st gear.
There are no gear indicators so you just have to get lucky and remember which gear is active I guess, otherwise it will just die. xD

Flooring the engine from a standstill in 3rd gear is a fun way to stall it
