Excellent job! I'm not really one for gun/weapon scenes but this was really well made.
I've also never seen readable(owner) used for reading the special variables before but that's nice to know! I have always been using (readable(e.this)) which is significantly clunkier :<

I was taken back a bit when I saw that pile of spent cartridge cases. They are HUGE! There's no way that a cartridge of that size would fit into that pistol! Also, they are rimmed cases which are not normally used in auto-loaders. With just a few exceptions, rimmed cartridges are typically loaded into revolvers and break-away guns. Rimless cartridges are typically used in auto-loaders (also called semi-automatic) handguns and rifles in order to avoid "rim lock" which is when the rim of one cartridge gets stuck behind the rim of the cartridge below it in the magazine.
