Through tuning and a surprisingly robust gear transmission, I've gotten this thing to top out at 28m/s [~62mph].
The engine is clocking ~68hp@200rpm on the driveshaft, and getting 110hp@90rpm on the crank.
The torque figures are absurd, hanging around the 12KNm mark at 0rpm on the driveshaft. I've seen it get up to 26KNm on startup on the crank.

The engine idles appaulingly rough without load, but smooths out real nice under load.
