Algodoo Speed Test Made By Yotta.180. At July 2024.
|| User Description ||
| Information |
● This Algodoo Speed Test measures your Algodoo's speed. A higher speed result is a sign of a stronger Algodoo which can handle more complex things without lagging, or simulation slowing down.
● User mode is best for players who want a quick Algodoo speed test.
| Usage |
● Click the × GO × button to start the speedtest (hotkey: enter).
● When the speedtest is started, the pointer will start moving from left to right.
● As the pointer going further to the right, your Algodoo will get more and more speeded up, and this causes Algodoo simulation time speed to slow down.
● As the simulation speed gets closer to the target value (default: 12%) the pointer will slow down, and when the simulation speed reaches the target value, or goes below, the pointer will stop moving. To interrupt the speedtest when running, use breaking (hotkeys: end, 0).
● If the simulation speed stays below or equal to the target value for enough time (default: 80ms), the speedtest is over, and the pointer and the result value written on the box above will become colored to the category color where the pointer stopped.
● When the speedtest is over, the × GO × button will show again to be able to restart the speedtest.
● To exit the speedtest, click on the X button at the bottom-left corner when the simulation is running (hotkey: esc).
● To show the next description category, click on the description box (top-left corner of the speedtest) (hotkey: ctrl).
Overall, the result value shows how much we need to speed up Algodoo for the simulation speed to reach the target value (Aka. 12%).
| Result Values |
● Below 4.0 → Your Algodoo is too weak for the speedtest to measure.
● Between 4.0 and 8.0 → Your Algodoo is very weak, almost everything stops it.
● Between 8.0 and 16.0 → Your Algodoo is weak, only simple things not cause lag or simulation speed slowing down.
● Between 16.0 and 32.0 → Your Algodoo speed is OK, complex things cause lag or simulation speed slowing down.
● Between 32.0 and 64.0 → Your Algodoo speed is good, some complex things not cause lag or simulation slowing down.
● Between 64.0 and 128.0 → Your Algodoo speed is perfect, complex things not cause lag or simulation slowing down.
● Between 128.0 and 256.0 → Your Algodoo speed is superior, only the most complex things cause lag or simulation speed slowing down.
● Between 256.0 and 512.0 → Your Algodoo is extremely strong, almost nothing can stop it!
● Above 512.0 → Your Algodoo is too strong for the speedtest to measure.
My personal average Algodoo speed is ~85.0.
| Extras |
● The Algodoo speed is not a fixed value, it vibrates in every single moment, so the result of the speedtest will not be always the same, thats why i suggest running the speedtest multiple times to get an accurate result.
● In the oldest versions of the speedtest, the measure limit was 256.0. This quickly got extended to 512.0 with the new blue category.
● The speedtest is made in 13 days.
● If you read the description and got here so far, and you really interested in the speedtest you may type "Scene.my.Admin = true" in the console (console can be opened and closed with F10 or shift+0) when the simulation is running to activate the hidden admin mode... |
