Hello!

A while back, I released a scene titled "AHOX Helium Personal Computer".

It featured a computer that ran a fictional programming language named Chives.
For over a year, it was my newest computer that ran Chives.

Lately though I have been getting back into programming and I decided to rebuild a Chives processor from the ground up and, while I was at it, add some new features to it such as being able to backspace in text prompts and loops.

I've had a lot of fun creating this little machine, and I really hope you enjoy it too.

All instructions are in the scene.
Have phun!

P.S. The disks contained in this scene contain a *lot* of text which may cause the scene to lag.
I recommend saving and deleting disks you aren't currently using!

2022 - 2024 Xarbian Computer Systems
2009 - 2024 AHOX
2017 - 2024 Little

If you reupload this scene, or parts of it, please give credit to AHOX, Little, and/or XCS.

HOTFIX - Made it easier to remove disks from the computer
HOTFIX 2 - Fixed issue with Little Says and BSOD saves overwriting eachother
HOTFIX 3 - Fixed a bug in BSOD Empire

Did you actually patch that bug that completely destroys any Chives computer with "wait"?!
Indeed! Wait works completely different now!

Random fun fact btw -- Internally, exit is essentially just Wait but with an infinite wait time.

little i think you should name the next computer titan after titanium
you should bring back algonet on bdisk based computers
@user35867 Agree! I want to create a Chives2AB Compiler, but Algonet is one of the hurdles.(The other is print, and it makes it generally impossible.)
Perhaps!
But for now anyway, I would like to take a break from the computers if that's okay. I've been kind of stressing out over them and my brain is goop.

I hope that's okay.
That's okay!:)
But to be honest, you deserve the break, this is the first time in 1.5 YEARS that you made 2 AHOX PC scenes in a row.
little rest well
Take a long rest, you deserved it.

i chopped this pc's monitor off and put beryl's monitor so check it out
@user35867 Already seen that, nice! But please put some easily accessible programs in the scene.
Wait a minute, that would mean you have to have chopped the Beryl in half too!
added some programs hope it will fix the issue
wait is the AHOX Hydrogen faster than the AHOX Basic computers?
From my testing, yes!
Try running BSOD on AHOX Basic and Hydrogen! It runs far better on the Hydrogen.
Hey Little, is your break done?
@Little I feel like one of the main reasons for that is that the AHOX Hydrogen can have a higher clock speed than the AHOX Basic PC's thanks to the Clock Rate Multiplier. Maybe attempting to run it at a Clock Rate Multiplier of 1 can give the same results as in the AHOX Basic PC's.
I know that, the problem is that if I do that with the AHOX Basic PCs, Algodoo lags.

I think this is due to the relative complexity of Ab versus Chives.
how do i use a different side of a floppy? im struggling with it, and how does the algonet work?
@olibar240 To use a different side of a floppy, turn it upside down.(Some programs have an empty other side), The algonet works using global variables in algodoo which allows you to sync multiple ahox pc's(in 1 scene).
So I am amazed with the fact that the disk inserter doesn't use axles.
I want to know how it works, cuz it somehow works without scripts.
Nvm found it, it was apparently material velocity
:bonk:
sliced the helpful tools suite disk in half and it still read the disk, 10/10
I apologize for the long wait between computers! My break took a little longer than planned...

Anywhom, not counting the Egg computer, my next computer is almost done! It's designed to run both Chives and Ab programs -- and it finally adds Algonet to Ab.

I'm really happy with the disk drive too. It's not the same drive as in the Egg computer for the record -- the Egg computer, while meant to be a teaser for the AHOX Magnesium, was still just a joke and a lot of it is just hacked together. It actually has a mechanism to fit Ab disks into a snug fit that doesn't protrude out of the computer and I think it looks pretty neat!

It's named the AHOX Magnesium and I just finished designing the second prototype for the case!
