This group of race car drivers like to show off their driving skills by forming a 7-segment digital display. It's only one digit, but you must admit they sure are talented drivers!


Update 02/02/2024:
- Added "Auto/Manual" button and feature.
- Resized and rearranged number buttons for a cleaner look.
- Added a white border around the 7-segment display area.

Update 02/21/2024:
- Added a halo behind each digit to indicate which one is currently selected (for both manual and automatic modes).
- Gave each digit a different color background (for no reason other than they look prettier than monochrome black).

Pretty clever using a clock-esque method to achieve a 7 segment display, with a creative touch of making it cars. However due to the segments being cars, it makes it seem that these drivers are being extremely reckless drivers! :lol:

Those drivers never need to fear crashing into anything because those are "Stealth" cars! If you watch them closely, you will see that they never crash into each other! They actually go right through each other. They got that technology from engineers at Area-51. The engineers got it from Aliens. Cool, huh?

I modified your scene on my PC as follows:
1. Unglued cars from sticks.
2. Connected cars to sticks with hinges (bend=true,bendConstant=100,bendTarget=whateverWor­ks,hingeConstant=1.0)
3.Set car collision layer to J.
4. Set car friction to zero.

Now the cars work like bumper cars. Try it you'll like it.

Yes, I like the effect. Maybe you can make a multi-digit clock or timer of some sort using that idea. It will look awesome!

A: Yes, now that you mention it, I can see that it's the resistor color code.

BTW, your Auto/Manual button is reversed, you click Manual to initiate Auto movement and vice versa.

Actually, it operates exactly as intended. i.e., I wanted the text to show the current mode rather than the desired mode.


Also, you are correct about the colors being the resistor color code. (I knew you would get that!)
