Write, Read, Upload: Export, Import ( I/O )
AlgoTXT is the most fun custom algodoo text file editor!
Zoom out to find the reader first, and then the writer and the uploader in the sky!

READING/WRITING
To read, place your file into the input of the reader (the machine near the manual maker) against the white part
To write simply press shift (if you are writing into the uploader's input box) and type as usual, then press "Create File"
and it will pop out the "OUTPUT"

IMPORTING/EXPORTING (I/O)
Click on the uploader's input box (the darker part) to enter text for what you want to upload,
then drop the algo.txt object that you would like to upload onto the IN section (the brighter + transparent part),
and then press upload!
You can import a file with a similar process but no IN is needed, just put the name of the file you
exported it as into the input box and watch it pop out "OUT"

Bug fixes:
could not start new line on writer, manual did not have new line;
can now reset text scale for all text in/outputs;
can now make a warning algotxt file for any bugs that affect the user strongly;
error messages for importing/exporting files;
bugfixes can now be found in the scene;
any error messages are now opened as windows

(if you would like to delete a file uploaded to your computer, please go to the algodoo folder)

I made this as a fun little project when I discovered the Read and Write functions to thyme. There is no appropriate use for this,
but in my opinion it is fun to see it work.

dang that's cool
thanks, i just added a warnings transform so the manual transform isn't alone!
Sorry, but this is all very confusing. First of all, it would be helpful for you to explain WHAT this scene is for, and WHY someone would want to use it. It's Okay to put instructions in the scene description, but I doubt that anyone can remember all that because you cannot read it once Algodoo starts. It's always helpful to show instructions in the scene. Also, in technical scenes like this one it doesn't make sense to have clouds floating by. So, I suggest you turn them off. You do that by clicking on the background then uncheck the box that reads "draw clouds". Hope you find these suggestions helpful!

I made the scene as just a fun little thing when i found the WriteToFile and ReadWholeFile functions
Also thanks for the feedback, I don't think anyone would find an appropriate use for this scene, but it's fun to see work in my opinion at least.
Woah dude.
This is pretty cool!
Spillyzippy -- Thanks for your reply. What you said makes perfect sense! :)
Added some error messages when importing/exporting files
Any user caused updates to the scene will now display a message. I may add a way to disable some of them but I am not sure
i am making list of moons and stuff i know
:laugh:
