I watched that YT video earlier today before you posted the link to it. I don't know how you play the daily Wordle game, but I usually start with "AUDIO" and go from there with my own gut hunches, which are often correct. So far I failed to guess the correct word only one time which was the one for today's game. I won't divulge the word because some people reading this comment may not have played today's game, but I guessed a valid word that was off by one letter. BUMMER! I blew my 100% rating.
I usually go with "RAISE" or "FREAK" or something with a lot of vowels and then try making 1 or 2 words with the leftover (light gray keyboard) letters after which I try making words with the two or 3 rows of hints. I've been cheating a lot lately trying to verify that my solver works as expected.
I've become a Wordle "addict" since I first learned of it. In fact, my wife and I challenge each other every day without fail. This Wordle solver will come in handy for me because I'll make certain that she doesn't know about it!
Lately my favorite two words to begin with are "audio" and "earth". Those words cover all the vowels except for "Y", and the only letter that's found in both words is "A". There are other "helper words" that give even more hints than those two, but I found that using too many helper words mitigates the challenge of figuring out the word by using mostly logic and a good vocabulary. I don't feel satisfied when the challenge is too easy.
Nice work on this scene. You are truly a programming guru!
By the way, I LOL when I read those three sample words shown in your scene: "FREAK FETAL FECAL" I tried to imagine that situation and it caused all kinds of weird, sick images in my head! Was that intentional?
Q: Was that intentional?
A: I think it happened in the course of play and I decided to save at that point.
I usually use the first 5 letter word that pops into my head. It may make my score slightly larger (worse), but I find it more challenging and enjoyable. I typically use this scene to help solve the Wordle, but it's not cheating since I created the tool. I now have 100% success for 220 plays with an average score of 3.99 with the real Wordle.
