detects stuff whose length is larger than 1 meter. before that, sensor simply fails to work
what are you talking about? It works fine for me. And it doesn't matter how big the object is, the sensor can detect anything.
basically, the 100hz frequency, allied with the 100 m/s circle speed, makes the sensor circle to fly past through thin objects
