The Honda City is a B-segment car produced by the Japanese manufacturer Honda since 1981. The City is manufactured in Suzuka, Japan, Guangzhou (Guangzhou), China, Ayutthaya, Thailand, and Karawang, Indonesia. It was also manufactured in Argentina for a short period at the Campana plant.

There are five generations of the City, put on sale in the years 1981, 1986, 1996, 2001 and 2009. Most of them existed with four-door sedan bodies ("City" or "Fit Aria") and three or five-door hatchbacks. doors ("Fit" in America, China and Japan, "Jazz" in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Oceania and the rest of Asia). The first generation was also offered in a two-door convertible variant, and the fourth is sold in a five-door station wagon ("Airwave") body.

The fourth generation is transverse front-engined and exists with front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. Its engines are a four-cylinder in-line gasoline with a displacement of 1.2 liters and a maximum power of 78 hp, a 1.3-liter 84 hp, a 1.5-liter 89 or 109 hp; in Brazil, the most recent ones work with gasoline and ethanol indistinctly.1

The fifth generation of the City was officially presented at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show and went on sale at the end of that year. The two gasoline engines are a 1.3-liter 99 hp and a 1.5-liter 120 hp.
