There are a lot of things going on. Be specific about what you want an explanation for.
basically, if you turn white light into a glass thing, it will fraction into 7 colors, right?
(red, orange, yellow, etc) but why is it this color?
Well, first of all, this is Algodoo, and not real life. Algodoo is a pretty good physics simulation app but it's not perfect. I played around with the "refractive index" for that polygon (the prism), and I got the colors to look a little more like nature does it.

That's the best explanation I have. Maybe someone else can add something to what I said.
It makes weird colors because your prism is not a true polygon and does not have true sharp corners. Instead the corners have many small facets at different angles which mix and smear the light. I you move the laser down so the light does not go thru the corner of the prism, then you will see 11 distinct color rays.
