Hi Xray! I always wondered, but why acn't we have multiple acounts?

With multiple accounts a person can give themself high ratings on their scenes and can leave comments as if they were from a different person. In other words, multiple accounts give a person tools to cheat the system.

That's all I'm going to say about it, so please don't ask more questions or say stuff like "but.... but.... but...." if you know what I mean. Multiple accounts will get a person banned quicker than my dog eats a juicy steak.

Because Algobox is not for teaching English language, grammar, syntax, or etymology. It's supposed to be for posting dynamic scenes made with Algodoo that people can share with others. In case you didn't know this, Algodoo is a physics simulation program. It's not a text editor, and it's not for posting static images of stick-men, but that sort of thing happens every day. I even recently deleted a song that someone posted because this is not a website for teaching song lyrics or music theory. Some people try to make Algobox into something it was never intended to be, and it's my job to police it to make sure that it doesn't.

Hey Xray, do you know at all if Algoryx has any plans to update Algodoo in the near or distant future? I emailed them a while ago and got no response.

I doubt they will do any updates to Algodoo, mainly because the engineer who developed it, Emil Emerfeldt, has left the company a few years ago. The other reason is because it's free. So Algoryx makes no profit on it.

I hope they will surprise us all some time down the road by updating it, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Bummer, because Algodoo means more to me than any material thing I've ever owned. It has a beautiful history behind it, yet it appears to have a mundane future unless... Something happens.

Yeah, it means a lot to me too. That's why I volunteer so much of my time to policing Algobox as Admin.

I had no idea that this scene would become so popular when I made it. As of this date (3 weeks from the upload date), it has been downloaded 4426 times. Amazing!

Update: Now (7/23/21) it's a little over 2 months from upload, it has been downloaded over 10,000 times. Incredible! I can't wait to see what the number will be ONE YEAR from upload.

Amazing! I didn't even think raycasting could be done in Algodoo!

Algodoo is truly an amazing physics simulation program (or App) that can do a lot of amazing things, and it's only limited by the person using it. Although this scene uses a primitive form of raycasting (also called "Ray Tracing") I did not develop it. I copied the 3D rendering part of the scene from someone else's scene and modified a significant portion of it to make it work for my own purpose. Much of it was "trial and error" (probably more error than trial! LOL).
