Schule: Archimedes: discover the densisty of unknown object by putting a libra in equilibrium under water.
Both objects have the same mass 1kg, the left blue cube is known to have density 4. The task is to find out the density on the right side of the libra.
Click on the green cube to remove it, so water flows into the libra. Wait until both objects are under water. Add some red objects (mass 0.05 kg each) on top of the libra (where the orange arrow points to) to re-establish equilibrium. Calculate the density of the "gold", assuming that water has the density of 1.

Archimedes was one smart guy!

By the way, I had to look up the word "Libra". I didn't know that it was the name of an ancient balance scale. I only knew that it was a name for one of the signs of the Zodiac.

I like the concept but the accuracy of the results was not as accurate as I had expected.

Suggestions:
1. Get rid of the clouds.
2. Use a Roberval Balance with pans below the beam for samples and pans above the beam for counterweights.
3. Increase the simulation frequency to 120.
4. Provide the equation for calculating the density of the "gold".
5. Provide a statement about the expected accuracy of the experiment.
