So recently I released Marble Race v0.1, which was surprisingly
successful, so I decided to make a second race, with the intention
of it being longer, faster, and more random and unpredictable.
I think I achieved this nicely, so place your bets on the winning
marble, and let the race begin!
LEG #1: Extraction
So on this race, I tried to make it kind of a mining theme for some
reason, but Extraction is the only one that really shows it off. So
first the marbles drop out of the starting box and are carried up a
railed cart called the Smelting Cart. It then dumps the contestants
into the Pickaxe Package, where they will fall though into the Jaw.
After getting past that, they will go into the Injection Molds where
the pushing and shoving for the Top 10 takes place.
Only 10 of the 15 marbles will make it to...
LEG #2: Scrap Metal
In Scrap Metal, the Top 10 marbles fall into a cart, which will carry
them to the Lucky Gears. The luckiest and fastest marbles will make
ir through first, passing under the Chopper and into the Molten
Stirpot. Only 5 marbles will be quick enough and lucky enough to
drop down into the Top 5!
Only 5 of the 10 marbles will make it to...
LEG #3: Drawbridge
The final stretch of the race, Drawbridge is a short ramp of timing
where the best of the best get carried into the Fan, where if the
timing is in their favor, they will successfully cross the Drawbridge,
for which this leg is named for. If they don't cross it, they will fall
through the hatch and be carried back up to the Fan in a gear ladder.
All 5 marbles will eventually make it to the final event, the Rust Bowl.
The contendors will drop down into a tube with their placements maked
loud and clear: Gold, Silver, Bronze and runner-ups.
NOTE: If you looked at my last scene, you would already know this,
but I am colorblind. If some of the marble tracers or standings are
off in color, that's why. |
