I'm starting to work on more time-heavy projects, and I have a few in the works right now. Thought I'd share a little experiment on landing gear partially based on the Saturn V’s lunar lander.

Gravity has been set to the correct value for the moon, and is capable of flying (rather poorly) under its own power. The thrust vectoring system is controlled by the left and right arrows, the engine runs on the up arrow, and the legs can be extended with the down arrow.

Just a heads up, using the thrust vectoring can cause the craft to move in unlredictable ways. Be very light on it. Also, the landing gear is very fragile and as little as a breeze might make them go wild; which I guess is alright considering there are no breezes in space. As long as you don't count the air around the objects that are in space and other phenomena such as solar wind...

The colours aren't great, and different materials would likely improve the design greatly, but it is a test design to see if the concept would even function correctly. I wouldn't say this is complete by a long shot but it gets the idea out there for other users to play with; hopefully this will inspire new designs by others and teach people how designing a payload to minimise size can be done.

Anyways, modification and reuploading is fine. Credit would be nice though!

Back to working on the other projects. Might be a little while before my next upload.
