you sure a scotch yoke is the best idea for this?
anyways, there are many other linkages for walking mechs, ie = is not only theo jansen.

and anyways, almost all of the "theo jansen" mechanisms ive seen are NOT in the right proportions...

try add more move radius to the feets:D
