The animated gears can run without problems even when their teeth are in phase. i.e., the tip of each tooth on the pink gear clashes with the tip of each tooth on yellow gear. AMAZING! :o

Yes, animated gears are friction-less and have no interference. Perfect real gears are friction-less too, since the teeth have pure rolling contact when meshed perfectly.
