Not sure if it's what you want but try to select the little segment of tank track, click on "Use as chain", check the distance between segments and draw your tank track

thanks so much man, i did not know of the "use as chain" thing i will try it

that's literally the worst way to make a chain. The physics will be all funky. Better to just copy the chain links manually by holding ctrl and dragging, this way you'll double the copied length each time and you'll make a very good chain
