Wow! Does this use soundfonts? because i have a pretty nice soundfont.
No, since I never heard of soundfonts until you mentioned it. Sounds like a good idea. I'll look into it.

Soudfonts may be a good method of generating revving engine sounds.
If you could make it so that you type in the soundfonts location and name in a box and it trys to find the matching soundfont, you might be able to use more than one soundfont.
I'm not making any promises, but could you recommend a good free soundfont player. Regarding "soundfonts location and name", are you referring to the soundfont's location on the hard drive or its location on the web?
Hard drive. And no, i only use it for music. The two music composition programs i use can play soundfonts, LMMS came came with soundfont playing feature but it is a plugin so you may not be able to use it. Musescore relys on soundfonts to make sound.
Also, watch out for the TYPE of soundfont, the one i normally use is sf2, and there are others, which could require different progams to play.
Ok. I read up on soundfonts and MuseScore and listened to examples on Youtube. MuseScore looks like an impressive program, judging from the results on Youtube. I wont be adding sf2 capability to AlgoSound anytime soon. In my opinion it would be like adding lipstick to a pig (the pig being AlgoSound). On my PC the midi keyboard scene is relatively slow to respond to mouse clicks and all the notes are of equal duration. I could probably change the note duration to be the amount of time a key is down, but I would only know the time after the key goes up, which means it couldn't play in real time.
Algosound is awsome! It's amzing!
Thanks
