yellow particles ->
"fresh" oil, gets pressed from yellow wheel against green wheel, supported by grey fins
red particles ->"used" oil that gets transported back to the beginning of the cycle by a red transport wheel

principle is as follows: the yellow wheel has to rotate a greater angle to move a yellow particle to the outside than the green wheel is pushed by by the yellow particle
this is the same as a lever -> longer way to move, less force is needed

Hmm, i might subscribe!:)
Nice demo!
thanks :tup:
Awesome! I tried to make a CVT out of this concept, and I believe it is possible but it needs a bunch of tweaking. Simply rotating the fixed pieces that collide with the oil changes the ratio slightly
actually, I developed it further than this to be a CVT :lol: it works great when the ratio is under 1, it can even change turn direction,but the torque converting ratios over 1 dont work as well (they dont convert torque at all) as here in the static version, so i dumped it as an upload candidate. I'm sure it could be improved though.
