Algodoo

Hi people!

These are my concept atoms for Algodoo Phun!!!

Obviously the don't operate with the same properties and physical laws as real atoms, plus they are constructed differently and their components don't describe correctly subatomic behavior, but they are very good bidimensional simulations of the electronic behavior of atoms. You will love them!!!!!

- NEW: so far most atoms created for Algodoo Phun are built with unstable or with forced gravitational orbits, and also with springs, but my atoms are different because they have stable free orbits configured in complex sistems of attractive and repulsive forces that have different relations to distance.

- ACTIONS: my atoms have two different actions assigned for users to play with them:

* MOVE: If you keep pressed the direction keys, the nucleus of the atom moves in that directions pulling along the electrons and causing elastic electronic disturbance (thermal energy).

* PHOTOELECTRIC EFFECT: If you push and release the "m" key, all electrons will keep releasing a light that when collides with other electrons causes them to rotate very fast and to move slowly in 4 diferent directions; all this effects will dampen strongly the movements of electrons and of the atom itself, but since one of the effects pulls the electrons away from each other, in the end the atom will have bigger thermal energy.

- INTERESTING: This atom belongs to the series "Basic Atoms": since they don´t have a very strong electromagnetic field identity they can't build molecules, because all the atoms that are close enough to attract each other end up becoming one atom. But since electrons can move more loosely, this atoms are useful to watch the random and chaotic movements of electrons in moments of high energy within the system: in some situations some electrons will describe hyper-elliptical orbits, and when they return to the atom many times they stimulate the sudden expulsion of another electron, which resseambles the phenomena of electron emiting and capturing of real atoms, and also resseambles the quantum behavior of real particles occupying differentiated energy sates that other particles can´t occupy at the same time.

- PLUS: my atoms make very espectacular collisions, creating a new atom with many high energy chaotic electrons which move around in cool orbital patterns; these high energy systems tend to stabilize through time becoming more still, ordered and geometrically balanced. But I already found a radioactive atom which many times will tend to gain more energy after its initial attempt of stabilizing, and if you are patient enough not to alter the simulation for 5 minutes while it runs, some times the system will reach a critical energy limit in which the nucleus is destroyed simulating the nuclear fission of a single atom. I will share this radioactive atom as the fourth scene.
