I've made a compact version but it doesn't seem to work at all.

Awesome scene Notarget! The pistol seem to work well and looks really slick. I also noticed that you implemented the TrueBlowBack system  .

Few comments though:

-Your trigger blade has no physical stop in either the forward and rearward travel. Make sure you constrain the trigger by adding stop blocks. This will improve the feel of the gun and reduce broken instances.

-A lot of malfunctions come from poor bolt stability. The key to a smooth operating gun is tightness, and you bolt wobbles around, which makes ejection a bit lacklustre and binds the whole assembly. I suggest making an invisible extension of the rails that protrude beyond the receiver body. These will guide the bolt during the whole stroke, and not leave it hanging.

Lots of potential. Good luck!
