Be sure that you have experience with the scene
"electroscope negative staff" before doing this one.
This time the staff is positive; move the staff again so that the blue and green gates are close to each other again, so they will open.
Watch the scene while many electrons are moving from the electroscope into the staff, this will take some time; so you may fixate (f key) the staff after its gates are open. Note then also the reaction of the "right leg" of the electroscope.
For coders:
collision-groups are used to prevent unwanted collsions between gates - gates and screening-parts of the orange and blue section of the electroscope. The gates are opened by XRAYs trick (see his crocodile-scene) in the rotation-axis: bend=true, bendconst=200, and in the postep a decision if scene.my.near is true, which is set in one part of the gate checking the distance of the two gates.
The hidden spring is used to simulate the gravity, which usually drags the moveable "right leg" of the electroscope back to vertical position if no electrical force gives any repulsion.
The electrons and protons are made by a sophisticated way of using attracting and repulsing compartments of different collisiongroups, so that + attracts -, but - repulses - and + repulses +. Tell me if you have found ANY other program besides of Algodoo in which you can simulate electrical forces AND mechanics for free
