I've really found no reliable way to feed a realistic lmg using mechanics alone. Even so, they tend to be slow as hell and more complex than than the web of lies Hillary Clinton has woven. So, in a compromise of mechanical work, I present a fully-scripted lmg that actually has a realistic fire-rate and capacity, and virtually no lag (if you have lag running this, consider an upgrade from PotatOS to an actually MODERN computer. Just sayin'.) It's fairly simple to use, and it's got a number of neat little features that I find fun to watch and use.
To operate: drag the cartridge from the "belt" up into the action. It'll snap into place on its own, so that should be easy. Close the feed tray cover (drag tool). Pull the action back via the charging handle. The machine gun fires from an open bolt, but the charging handle does go forward on its own. from there, aiming is done with the drag tool, and firing is done by the witchcraft that is the enter/return key. Or you could drag the trigger, that works too.
To replace the ammo box, you'll want to lift the feed tray cover by the tab behind the rear sight, pull the box to the rear of the receiver, pull the other one up towards where the old one was, and slide it forward until it stops. The belt should be visible.
I'm not going to worry about making it any more pretty than it is, because, you know, ain't nobody got time fo that. |
