Very cool scene! By the way, that YouTube channel you posted in your "Converging Lens Ray Trace" scene is amazing.

While you're at it, build them this to learn how to ride a bike! It's also a little more practical.

If you're feeling a bit twisted, you can set it to counteract gravity and they won't be able to steer!

P.S. Yes, I found that from Googling "zero length spring" because I am but a wee chemist who left his spring knowledge back in college. )|(

In case you or anybody else gets serious about making the swing, keep in mind that the spring sees at least twice the weight of the swinger and that springs sometimes break.

Thanks for the link. I'm interested in that kind of stuff and I hadn't seen it before. I can see that the zero length spring design is very similar to my first swing.
