Actually I did, I made my first breakable objects by doing that. They are posted somewhere here... Anyway, I decided I didn't like it because the cracks are too defined and the objects are clumsy. I like this method because it is much simpler.

yeah, it works fairly well my way can have more total control though but your right its slower and harder to use.:/
