If you have a spinning ring, the centripetal force of that ring will create a centripetal acceleration that, to an observer on the ring, is quite similar to gravity. This is a theorized way of combatting bone density loss in astronauts as well as a way of creating large space colonies. I'm lazy so the scene is very rough.
