Everyone thinks they know the "truth". It's just like religion: Every religious organization is the "true" religion, and all others are liars, cults, or infidels. Just ask them!
You can animate it in my animation creator and participate in the contest ;)

Xray, amen (no pun or quip intended.) There's really no point in finding out what truly happened, or anything for that matter. I recently visited the memorial of the Twin Towers in Manhattan, and rode the elevator to the top of the new WTC. While I was there, I was struck with the realization that it isn't important to shift the blame on someone or something, but mourn those we've lost, and cherish the good we have instead of seeking the bad. It happened, and regardless of how tragic it was, there is nothing we can do to change it.

I am very anti-religion. Not in the sense that I hate the people, but rather what many organized religions teach and manipulate their followers with. I was brought up with a Christian family, had Muslim friends, made companions with Jews, had a pagan girlfriend, and even had Satanist acquaintances who had a better sense of acceptance, morals, and what is right than some of the "godly" people I've known. I've determined for myself some divine intervention is, or was, necessary for our universe to exist as stably as it does. Beyond that, there is truly no way to determine the validity or lack thereof of any god, goddess, or being with universal understanding. Any religion I've seen does exactly what you said, and tends to state their beliefs are divine, everyone else's is wrong or evil, and some groups have used this as justification to take human life. The Crusades. Radical Jihadist movements. Roman mass-executions and slow-tortures of outsiders. It sickens me that such an argument could be made to take life. I don't hate the followers of these institutions, but the people who organize them are truly damned in my eyes for manipulating others in such a way. And whatever God, Goddess, or being created us is shaking his, her, or its head at our frivolity.
Nicely stated, phil!
hezké, ale smutné. doufejme, že se už nikdy nic podobného nestane...:(
