Why would you want to roundify an object? Just start out with a circle in the first place!

Okay, so even if you had a good reason to roundify an object, this scene is not in a good useable state. The problem that I found with it is that your non-round object must be within a specific range of widths. That is, if the object's radius is too small (shorter than the gap between the laser beam and the red circle) then it will not get cut by the laser. On the other hand, if the object's radius is too large, the red circle won't turn it because it will get stuck by striking the working parts of the machine. This scene could be improved if you make the distance between the laser beam and the red circle adjustable. You may also need to make the laser oscillations adjustable. I have seen similar scenes that do basically the same thing but in a much better manner. Sorry...
