I took everything I learned from Gent and The Linkage, and tried to make the best wankel spawn engine I possibly could.

The engine runs great at 100Hz and it's less that a meter across
which is pretty fair in my opinion, and is close enough to real size.

It doesn't spin the fastest, but that's okay. it's decently torquey.

I don't know the proper way to measure torque in Algodoo, so I just slapped a 150kg flywheel on it. I had to turn up the drag tool strength to spin it fast by hand, so the engine handles that pretty damn well.

...and yeah, I know I cheated a little by added the boxes to the rotors. :yum:

VERY nice
I'm still working on mine :bonk:
Its gonna be hard to make it look as good as this or Linkage's
I've been looking at the Wankel engines of lethalsquirl, Gent, and The Linkage and have the following comments:

1. The scenes all work well but the engines seem limited by the time between successive calculations. All engines go faster at higher sim.frequency.
2. The Linkage's stretched timing wheel hinge is done the best. It uses bend, bendConstant, bendTarget, and motorTorque to maintain the timing angle. Using autoBrake sometimes doesn't work (even with +inf motorTorque) because there is a chance for slippage. I'm not sure what Gent's doing with his stretched timing wheel hinge. It works well, but it has a high hingeConstant and is turning backwards.
3. Gent and lethalsquirl have some loose hydrocarbons because when I "Zoom to scene" I get lost in the ozone.
4. I will make a scene that will show how to make the timing angle adjustable. Maybe it will help optimize the engines.

I love ur trademark!!!
GOD WORK MAN.
haha thanks Zeusgodoo
The first Wankel-like engines didnt even have triangular rotors! The "rotors" were actually three straight fins attached to a bearing on the shaft, and the housing guided them to rotate.
