This is a model for the most typical engines nowadays. It is used in cars, trucks, aircraft, construction machinery and many others.

Wikipedia says:

Today, internal combustion engines, most commonly use
a four-stroke cycle. The four strokes refer to intake,
compression, combustion (power), and exhaust strokes.
A less technical description of the four-stroke cycle is
"Suck, Squeeze, Bang, Blow".

This scene is modeling and showing how they work (there is only one cylinder, but in consideration of this it doesn't matter)

-several axles

You can observe the 4 strokes, and several simple mechanisms (behind the covers. Unfortunately there is no oiler, because the scene eats a lot of CPU already.
