what does [BAD] mean, it quit my algodoo

I believe that's caused by a bug in Algodoo. It has happened to me a few times over the years. I think that it happens when you try to use an invalid data value for some of the variables. For example if you try to enter text for a variable that expects an array (such as POS), it might display {Bad} and then crash the program. When that happens just relaunch Algodoo, and it should show that variable with a proper value. It has never caused any long-term or permanent damage to Algodoo or to my computer.

oh, ok. Does it work if I have a list and have a value and make the index of the list the value like this stuff(index)? It doesn't seem to work on my scene.

I saw a scene that did that but I can't figure out how to.

I don't know what you mean by "laser trigger". Can you tell me what scene you saw, and maybe I can figure out how it works. Or, just explain in detail what you mean by "laser trigger".

I mean make a laser turn on with left click. If another scene, I saw some thing with activation key = left_mouse. I tried doing it but I can't figure out how to get it to do that

In the laser you want to trigger with the left mouse button, you will see a parameter called maxRays. In the maxRays value box, you will see the number 100. REPLACE that 100 with the above script. Make sure to include the brackets. Then every time you click the left mouse button, the laser will fire.

Hi Xray, I made a script that removes the additional brackets from a polygon and clones the surfaces into a custom variable. When I try and make a script to change the custom variable it autocorrects and deletes that section. Do you know what is happening? How do I change it without scene.my variables or that happening?

I would need to see exactly what you are trying to do, so could you upload your scene, and in the description explain what it is you want to do? You can title the temporary scene "For Xray" and when we are done with it, you or I can delete it if you no longer need it.
